Allows the connection of a camera with an unbalanced signal to be connected to balanced cable such as twisted pair or CAT5.

Passive Balun Kit Power Audio Video BNC RJ45 Ref: BALUNPAV
A kit of a transmitter and receiver balun allowing tramsmission of the video, power and audio signal over a twisted pair cable such as CAT5 cable.
Connectors are BNC for Video, 2.1mm jack for Power and phono jack for Audio.
Typical transmission distance of over 150 metres for colour cameras using CAT5 cable. Use of CAT6 cable will give over 30% increase on transmission distance.
The power connector uses 2 pairs of the cable hence doubling the current capacity of that cable.

Passive Balun 4 x BNC to 1x RJ45 Ref: CAT817
Transmit 4 video signals up tp 500 metres using a single CAT5 cable.
This 4-way balun requires no power to operate. Simply connect each camera by a RG59/BNC lead to the inputs.
The camera signal is classed as "unbalanced", the balun coverts it to a "balanced" signal so it must be converted back to unbalanced before being connected to a DVR or multiplexer. Hence the units must be used in pairs. They are priced separately.
Cable runs of 500 metres are possible but to maintain good quality signal strengths , as required by DVRs, 200 metre cable runs are advised.

Passive Balun 3 x BNC + Data Ref: CAT820
Transmit 3 video signals plus one data up to 500 metres using a single CAT5 cable.

This balun is similar to the CAT817 but one pair is used for the transmission of a data signal such as the type used to control PTZ dome cameras.
Cable runs of 500 metres are possible but to maintain good quality signal strengths , as required by DVRs, 200 metre cable runs are advised.
As with all Baluns, they shoulkd be used in pairs.
